Defib Equipment for Ulverston

6th September 2013

Jubilee Mark Lodge was the venue for the latest presentation of a defibrillator. Special representative Brian Davey did the honours when he handed over the equipment to Ulverston Masonic Hall chairman, and last year’s Mark Junior Warden, Russ Greenhow.

A delighted Russ commented, “I would like to thank the West Lancashire Mark Master Masons for their generosity in ensuring the availability of this special piece of kit in Ulverston. It is very reassuring to have it available though I hope it is not called into use.”

Witnessing the handover were Ray Dickinson WM of Jubilee Mark Lodge and Alan Jones former Mark Provincial Charity Steward and Chairman of the Furness and South Lakeland Group. Alan added, “That is the second defibrillator in the group with Barrow Masonic Hall having recently received one. I would echo what Russ says in that it is excellent news that we have this equipment on hand at these two venues, if needed they will prove a vital resource but let us all hope that the actual use of them is very much a rare event.”
